Thunderbolts*

May 5, 2025 | Categories: mcu film

So, the newest MCU film entry, Thunderbolts*, has dropped. I’ve been pretty sour on the MCU for a while now, with the one shining light in the dark being Guardians of the Galaxy 3. No Way Home and Deadpool & Wolverine have a lot of love from others, but for me, they were just enjoyable slop. Like, yeah, I popped off for Dafoe Goblin powerbombing Spidey like everyone else, but when you think about the film for a little bit afterwards, you realise it doesn’t really make a ton of sense. I enjoyed it! They weren’t terrible, unlike The Dark World or Age of Ultron, but I definitely wouldn’t watch them again outside of something like, say, a plane ride or a drunk night where I don’t wanna think much.

Having said all that, I was nervously excited for this movie. I really like MCU Bucky as a cha…

Wrestlemania 41 Day 2 Review

April 30, 2025 | Categories: wrestling wwe wrestlemania

After a mostly disappointing Day 1 of Mania, I was coming into this one pretty hopeful. The womens title three way sounded incredible, I'm a big fan of Drew and Bron, plus we all knew Dom was going to rat Finn somehow and that sounded exciting, and yknow, The Rock! Cena vs Punk at the end of the Chamber gave me hope that maybe Cena would be able to pull some last bit of workrate out of his ass, but even if he didn't or that was all Punk, at least The Rock would be here. God, I was so full of hope.

Match 1:
Iyo Sky (c) vs Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley
Womens World Championship

I am a massive fan of all three women, so I felt relatively confident this would be a banger, and god, did they deliver. Even more action packed than the night 1 main event, and only 14 minutes. Feels a little ridicu…

Wrestlemania 41 Day 1 Review

April 28, 2025 | Categories: wrestling wwe wrestlemania

So, WrestleMania 41, huh. As per my previous post, I wasn't particularly excited for Mania in general, but I also really wasn't excited for this day. The card was filled with matches with either no build, negative build, or confused build, and I really wasn't excited to watch Gunther drop the title to Yeetman, but hey, that main event! I'm sure that'll be good! I watched this with my good friend Hobobloke, so at the very least, we'd get to enjoy each other's company while we sob over what is one of the worst handled title reigns in modern WWE.

First of all, I really hate how commercialised the ring is now. Almost the entire thing covered in advertisements, plus ads on the sides, really just pained me. "Oh, but Paris!" The WWE twitter marks yell, "NJPW also has ads on the mat!" Yeah, and I …

I'm (Pretty Much) Done With WWE

April 27, 2025 | Categories: wrestling wwe

Warning: extremely political. Very little wrestling.

G'day mates. Been a bit since I actually used this blog, turns out the process of coding it took a lot out of me and then I sorta forgot to keep up with it. Part of me thought it might be better to make videos, too, instead of use this? But then I didn't do that, either. I'd intended on writing a post on Wrestlemania but then the finish was so dogwater that it defused my intention of doing that, too, but I've decided I should push through. Writing about something I didn't enjoy is an important part of being a journalist. But first, before I review anything, I figured I'd mention this important bit, that I'm likely done watching any current WWE content.

I can't say 100% that I won't watch ANY because, I am only human, if something particu…

NXT Halloween Havoc 2024: Kinda Live Thoughts

Oct. 28, 2024 | Categories: wrestling nxt wwe

I've never really paid a lot of attention to NXT. I used to, a long time ago, but these days I just sorta watch when something exciting sounds like its coming up, unlike the other companies I'm following at the moment where I'll always try to catch even bad sounding PPVs just in case (cough cough Bad Blood 2024). But this Halloweeen Havoc card sounded real great, so I immediately set aside time to watch it. Had to catch the Magic the Gathering Worlds Finals first to see the German Juggernaut Kai Budde, but after that was over and I'd fried up some sausages for lunch, Halloween Havoc time.

Halloween Havoc was always my favourite WCW PPV, because I'm a sucker for cute spooky aesthetics. I can't really point to one I actually remember as a kid, but I know I liked it. So, while I'm partially s…

EPW Vendetta 2024

Oct. 21, 2024 | Categories: wrestling EPW

(I wrote this back on September 7, when EPW Vendetta happened, so that's how long I've been programming this damn website. Anyway,)

So, since transitioning from a fighting game streamer to some guy who tweets about wrestling too much, I’ve considered whether I want to maybe get into, as a hobby, reviewing wrestling, wrestling journalism, that sorta thing. It has been nice taking a total break from doing anything at all, but my mind is too active to just do nothing forever, so I’m already thinking about how best to revive my stream and Youtube. First, though, I wanted to see if I was capable of writing anything interesting about wrestling before trying to put it to voice, so here’s this blog!

I was considering doing it about Bash in Berlin, but I thought a more interesting challenge would be…

First post!

Oct. 20, 2024 | Categories: first! wrestling

Hello and welcome everyone to my new blog, The Total Bounty! I’m Salty Paris, former Australian fighting game pro and professional Twitch streamer, but I’ve decided to take a step back from all that stress and anxiety and relax a bit more, and get back into some of my old hobbies, primarily wrestling, but it turns out I’m not capable of being into anything a normal amount, and I’ve been now watching an absolute shit ton. This blog will be a place for me to dump all my thoughts about those events without having to get involved in any of the insane tribalist arguments on Twitter, and also occasionally post about other stuff I’m up to, like travel or food. I’ve been wanting to be less present on social media for a while now, since all the rage bait and toxicity has really been ramping up, an…

About me

Salty Paris is a genderfluid pirate, semi-retired Australian fighting game player and wrestling fan. Raised watching WCW as a kid, Paris has carried that love of theatrics and large muscle people through their fighting game career. They are also a fan of bad horror movies, and card games. They use any pronouns.
